Yup, my #1 suggestion for must own -female- kpop album has to go to the repackage version of T-ara’s 1st full album. You can’t see it from just looking at that picture, but trust me, it is amazing! So what are you waiting for? Go check it out! You won’t be disappointed (music wise and package wise), I promise : ) I know I said I wouldn’t mention anything else other than the music, but I’m just going to say this – the physical plastic container for the album is sick. This is reason enough to pick up this album if you’re a 2NE1 fan. All of them were promoted, and everyone loved it. If you’re a hardcore 2NE1 fan, I don’t need to tell you this, but every single song in this album was a complete hit. So if you’re an SNSD fan, this is definitely the way to go if you want to show your support for these 9 oh so lovely ladies : )ĢNE1, man did they explode in popularity out of nowhere! Now this album, let’s think about it for a second. Repackage of the year right here, with the only downside being that it came out almost immediately after the original, which I’m sure ticked off a lot of people who already bought the original SNSD Vol. In this album you’re getting ‘Run Devil Run’, ‘Oh!’, ‘Genie’ and ‘Gee’! Pretty much every SNSD song worth noting! Not to mention ‘☆★☆’ and an R&B remix along with the other songs from their 2nd full album. Speaking of bang for your buck, who would’ve thought that the entire SNSD discography could be in your hands for around a mere $15 U.S? Ok, so not the complete discography, but you know what I’m getting at. SNSD / Girl’s Generation’s Run Devil Run (Repackage) But for 11 songs, this album is definitely worth your time and money : )ģ. on iTunes, this is a definite must buy, but a physical copy will probably run you around $10 U.S. And to top it all off, you get 2 Different Tears in 3 different languages, a karaoke version, an instrumental and a remix. It’s about time! Wouldn’t you agree? Along with that, you’re also getting ‘Nobody’, although I don’t know “nobody” who doesn’t have that song, but you’re also getting 2 very nice remixes of the song, including the heavily advertised Jason Nevins remix. We’ve seen fancams for English versions of ‘Tell Me’ and ‘So Hot’ but man I’ve been waiting forever for an official release. In the 2 Different Tears ‘mini’ album, you get English versions of almost all of their past Korean hits (yeah, I would have loved a revival of ‘Irony’, but with the whole HyunA thing I can see why they didn’t do it). If you’re a fan of BEG, and you’re also a fan of remixes, this album will not dissappoint! This album comes with a butt load of remixes, pretty much the entire 2nd CD! Oh yes, and the reason I also mentioned their repackage album (although not nearly as worth it money wise) is because that album comes with ‘Sign’ (of course) but also a remix version and an amazing remix of ‘Abracadabra’! So yup! Love BEG? Love remixes? Love bang for your buck (pirating doesn’t count!)? Definitely pick up a BEG album!Ģ Different Tears is not the album we’ve been anticipating since (March?), but it is a very good compensation for having to wait another few months for a brand spanking new full Wonder Girls album. If you were a fan of BEG before the ‘Abracadabra’ days (or looked up their past work), the album also comes with very soothing renditions (remixes) of their past hits including ‘My Style’, ‘How Come?’ and ‘L.O.V.E’ (pretty much all their past singles). Sound-G by BEG is a 2-disc/19-song powerhouse featuring their career changing hit ‘Abracadabra’ and hit single ‘Candy Man’. Brown Eyed Girls’ Sound-G / Sound-G Repackage jacket/cover/booklets/etc.) because that is another subject for a later date : )Īnother reason for this post is to remind all my fellow kpop lovers to please show your support and purchase their albums! I’m not asking you to buy every single album that every artist comes out with, but you should at least buy a couple of albums every once in awhile… It wouldn’t kill you to, and the artists definitely need our support if they’re going to continue to make music! So yeah… /end mini public service announcement, on with the blog!ĥ. For this specific review, I am going to base it solely on the music content, and nothing else (i.e. So today, I’m going to break down the top 5 recent (to some extent) and noteworthy (female of course) kpop albums to own.
